SPECIALISED COURSE -
AUTOMOTIVE TYRE AND WHEEL SERVICES

This programme is designed to train individuals with interest in wheel and tyre maintenance and services. The training covers the use of modern equipment to carry out wheel balancing, wheel alignment and tyre changing.
Wheel Balancing allows the tyres and wheels to spin without causing any vibrations and this can be done by making use of either clamp or stick weight as indicated by the Computerized Wheel Balancer.

Wheel Alignment on the other hand consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. The purpose of this adjustment is to ensure maximum tyre life and a vehicle that tracks straight and true when driving along a straight and level road.

Vulcanizing is no longer that of old time where you will be sweating before work can be done. Vulcanizing can now be done by making use of tyre changer machine to dismount, mount and inflate tyres on the rim without difficulties or any damage to the tyre and the rim.
